Holiness
Movement - Time to Be Holy

The passage in I Peter 1 - "Just as
he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is
written: "Be holy, because I am holy." - is authoritative
scripture on the holiness of God.
It is a statement declared early in the Old Testament
and reiterated in the New Testament.
The way Peter uses it is follows a
description of the all the prophets pointing to Christ as the
fulfilment of this holiness, and he then points that line to
us - the readers.
These prophets 'were not serving themselves but you...even
angels long to look into these things.
The holiness of God is the central attribute of His
nature...
